Musicians
at The Bodhi Tree
We have an inspiring
community of individuals and groups who enjoy coming to play their
music at The Bodhi Tree. The musicians range from amateur to
professional.
If you would like to play
your own instrument, or our electronic keyboard, please send
us an email so we can discuss options.
Christine
Morrison - Keyboard
Performs
monthly on Saturday
Christine is a unique musican, sound healer,
composer and teacher. Her piano music and vocal sounds are said to
soothe the soul. We are very blessed to have Christine play on our
keyboard once a month - keep your eye on the Events
Calendar to see when she's next
in. Christine's beautiful CDs are also available for purchase at
The Bodhi Tree.

David
Beattie - Classical guitar
Performs at The Bodhi Tree every second Sunday, late
morning
Having
played various styles of amateur guitar for most of his adult life,
David has come to the classical instrument in recent years through
his involvement with the Classical Guitar Society of WA and its
orchestra (see www.guitarwa.com.au)
David's
repertoire for The Bodhi Tree includes some gentle interpretations
of music from Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Bruce Cockburn, The Beatles
and The Rolling Stones. The perfect background for a lazy
Sunday!

Lexi
- Guitar, Ukelele & vocals
Performs at The Bodhi Tree on alternate Saturdays
Lexi writes her own music and lyrics, which
she performs on a classical guitar or a ukelele. She has the
sweetest voice you can imagine and we sell two of her CDs at The
Bodhi Tree - see our Watching & Listening
section.

Satyam - Sitar
Performs
at The Bodhi Tree on many Tuesday mornings.
As well
as being a very talented musician, Satyam is a holistic counsellor,
group facilitator of relaxation and meditation classes, and social
worker.
Satyam is
passionate about his music and his work, as well as holistic
living, yogic lifestyle and sustainable development. He and his
equally talented partner Chandrika have built a solar passive,
solar-powered, limestone eco home on a bush block in the northern
suburbs of Perth.
You can
see more of Satyam and his band, Turquoise Loop, on YouTube.

generation of musicians.

Ron
Cacioppe - Keyboard
Performs at The Bodhi Tree frequently on weekends
Ron is
Karen's partner and "co-conspirator" in bringing The Bodhi Tree to
life. Two years ago Ron discovered the joy of playing music, and
although he had never come into direct contact with a keyboard
until that time, he has taught himself (with the help of Meredith,
his wonderful and patient tutor) to play. Performing at The Bodhi
Tree helps him to push himself to practice and improve in his
new-found skill.
Ron is
better known throughout Australia as a University Professor, and
many Perth executives have had the good fortune of coming under his
tutelage during the course of their MBA. Ron runs a successful
leadership development consultancy, where he and a host of
exceptionally skilled and talented consultants are helping to raise
the awareness of todays leaders. Integral Development is The
Bodhi Tree's sister company.

James -
Hapi Drum
Performs at The Bodhi Tree when his busy schedule permits
it
James is a young aspiring musician who plays
a most unique instrument called the Hapi Drum. It looks like
the base of a gas camping lamp, and sounds like a heavenly
harp! James pops
in to play whenever he's not hard at work
with his TAFE studies.

Lyndon
& Anna - Cello & Recorder
Perform at The Bodhi Tree whenever they feel the urge
Brother and sister duo Lyndon and Anna are
talented young musicians who play duets and solos. They play
randomly on weekends when they have the time.
