Gary de Piazzi, Poet, kicks off the morning with readings
from his book The Pinnacles.
Afeif
Ismail, Sudanese
Poet, Playwright and Human-Rights Activist (Bet of the Argil,
Mum! This World Lies to Us) reads some of his poetry written
while held as a political prisoner in Sudan.
Ron
Okely, Poet, reads from his recently published book "The Poet
and the Stockman's Hat"
Nicki
Hurwitz, Author,
reads the poetry of Pradip Biswas, a man committed to a mental asylum in West
Bengal who writes poetry that speaks of appreciation of beauty and
great hope and love for life.

Hear a fabulous procession of eminent and
emerging local poets performing their work. The group includes
Liana Christensen, Janet Jackson, Gabrielle
Everall, Meryl Manoy, Mardi May, Gary de

Murdoch University, explains a special exercise program designed to
help writers minimise the wrist, shoulder, neck and back pains
frequently caused by this hazardous acitivity!

display are extraordinary works of haiku on silk by local artist

dance, performed by Roeli Joosten .
